To give young unemployed and unskilled people in South Africa the opportunity to learn skills that are of real-life value and will immediately benefit themselves and any future employer. To train and upskill our currently unemployable youth with common sense skills to enable them to have an understanding of an employer’s needs and add value to employers from day one.
Kingdom is lucky to be able to hand pick the best of our academy graduates to be employed in our production facilities both locally and globally.
Youth unemployment in South Africa is currently at 45.5%, a staggering and overwhelming statistic, through common sense training we can set our students apart from other job seekers, creating a more productive workforce.
All of our students are vetted thoroughly prior to being accepted for training, we are looking for students who are self-motivated, self-disciplined and committed to their own growth (we only accept those willing and dedicated to learning). All students are compelled to contribute 25% of the cost of their training, why we say a hand up, not a hand out. The majority of our students cannot contribute financially however each student has to commit time during their training or after completion, back to the academy to earn points to qualify for assistance from the academy in future job seeking efforts.
Students training is heavily subsidised by corporate sponsors and government training initiatives.
Some of the criteria that must be met for a learner to be admitted into the program are as follows:
Continuous assessment – our students are continually assessed by our instructors and management. These assessments are made available to any prospective employer on request. The students are made aware of this from the outset of their training. The criteria for assessment includes but is not limited to the following.
